The Project’s

beginings

A group of courageous and trailblazing women in the bustling city of Los Angeles. These women were pioneers in the trades, each having faced countless obstacles and challenges on their path to success. While climbing the ladder of success, they noticed that many rungs were missing.

These Tradeswomen came from different backgrounds and walks of life but shared a common vision: to ensure that no other woman faces the same struggles and barriers they encountered. With unwavering determination and a burning desire for change, they founded T.R.A.D.E. - the Tradeswomen Ran Association for Diversity and Equity.

T.R.A.D.E. was born out of a collective dream to empower women in the trades and promote diversity, equity, and retention within unions. These pioneering women understood that their experiences and expertise could be a beacon of hope for others. They envisioned a future where women in California would have equal access to training, resources, and opportunities.

With their combined knowledge, resilience, and unwavering spirit, T.R.A.D.E. embarked on a mission to create a supportive and inclusive community. They dedicated themselves to providing comprehensive resources, mentorship, and guidance to aspiring tradeswomen, breaking down barriers that had existed for far too long.

Method of Procedure (M.O.P.):

T.R.A.D.E. will grow into a dynamic nonprofit organization with a thriving online platform, offering various resources, from informative guides to inspiring success stories. T.R.A.D.E will partner with unions, contractors, and corporations that share our commitment to diversity and equity, creating a robust network of advocates for change.

T.R.A.D.E. will offer women more than just a toolbox. We will assist women by providing access to community-building conferences, Spending women on career-developing courses, and providing income supplementary aid when tradeswomen have menstrual or pregnancy-related complications.

T.R.A.D.E.'s impact will reach far beyond California—scintillating efforts with similar initiatives nationwide, creating a nationwide movement for women's empowerment in the trades. The goal is for our organization to become synonymous with progress, opportunity, and hope.
